Why Haute42/COSMOX?
Fighting Games are an expensive hobby. I’ve swapped different Arcade Sticks since 2009, and I could only afford to get one every few years, because of how expensive they are.
However, the advent of Open Source firmware like GP2040-CE and the fighting game community moving towards leverless controllers, owning a homemade or mass manufactured leverless controller is more accessible as ever. Haute42 is a company based out of China that makes affordable leverless controllers that have great features for their price range. I like the Haute42 community and their first party support, as well as the ongoing support from GP-2040CE devs. This led to me getting my own small collection of controllers and providing them to friends in India, where games have less purchasing power than their western counterparts.
